AMERICAN PIE

Typical recipe of Anglo-Saxon origin , was made ​​famous by the British colonization of the American territories . The lack of refrigerators for storing food , urged people to cook the fruit in order to prolong the preservation and vary the consumption , hence arose the apple pie that over time became a national icon Americana.


ingredients

  • 3 cups flour 00
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 4 yellow apples
  • juice and zest of one lemon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 bicchere milk
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 heaping teaspoon of cinnamon



preparation

Peel the apples, cut into cubes and place in a bowl. Combine the juice and grated rind of one lemon and cinnamon.
